Portrait of my Wife.
Saw this in the gallery in about 1990 but Val was not taken by it. The gallery allowed me to photograph it and for the next few years I mourned it's absence! Next time in Florence I went straight to the Gallery on arrival and found the work leaning against the back wall. The owner - Fabio Fornaciai - remembered me taking the photo - "Ah the mad Australian" he said and we have been great friends ever since
